Southeast Career Technical Academy Sweeps Pleistocene Art Contest

Southeast Career Technical Academy Graphic Design and Illustration students swept the top three spots in the 2017 Southern Nevada During the Pleistocene Art Contest. SECTA’s entries were among nearly 170 entries in the contest. Congratulations to the following SECTA students:

1st Place – Nico Mateo Loreto (12th grade)
2nd Place – Kailey Misso (11th grade)
3rd Place – Naomi Ochoa (12th grade)

SECTA’s other finalists included:

Seniors: Kayla Brown, Elizabeth Dixon and Jessica Spaulding

Juniors: Emily Arrasate, Carl Corpin, Katelynn Day, Madison Conaway, Audrey Domes, Julio Gerardo Garcia, Alondra Hernandez, Katlyn Hurley and Elle Renner

Participants and their parents will attend the Fossil Day event at the Las Vegas Natural History Museum on October 14, where awards will be presented. All of the submitted art work will be on special display at the museum from October 14 through November 10.
