Can I take a class in lieu of a Praxis® or CBEST® assessment?
As approved by the State of Nevada, CCSD ALTA requires passing scores on the designated assessments for admittance into the Academy.
Can I still apply if I do not have my score report?
You may apply, but incomplete applications will not receive consideration for ALTA acceptance.
Can my testing be waived if I have a degree in the specific area?
Passing scores are required for Praxis® Core or CBEST® and Praxis® Subject Assessment–secondary only. We do not waive testing. Testing must be completed and a score report uploaded to the application prior to the application deadline.
Can the Praxis® assessment requirement be waived if I have a Master's degree?
