The American School Counselor Association (ASCA) has honored Bruner Elementary School as a Recognized ASCA Model Program (RAMP). The RAMP designation, awarded for aligning with the criteria in the ASCA National Model, recognizes schools that are committed to delivering a comprehensive, data-driven school counseling program and an exemplary educational environment.
This announcement coincides with National School Counseling Week, Feb. 5-9, sponsored by the ASCA to focus public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors to students at school districts across the U.S.
According to the ASCA, “Judith Morton-Pelto is the hard-working outstanding school counselor at Bruner Elementary School who has shown her commitment to the students and the school counseling profession. Judy uses data to drive her program development and implementation so all students can achieve success.” The school will be officially honored during ASCA’s annual conference in Los Angeles on July 16, 2018.
